Soun (pronounced Soon) Rattana is a landmine survivor, a war veteran, a former Khmer Rouge child soldier, and the star of the film Broken Courage. His tours hold a 100% rating on TripAdvisor.
Soun takes you through the local war museum and, with it, through Cambodia’s recent past. The exhibits and relics are one thing; hearing them explained by someone who was there is another entirely. You come away understanding what the country has survived, and why reconciliation matters to the people who live here.
