Founder & Manager
Silong has guided professionally since 2018 and has worked as an administrator, tour supervisor, co-leader of educational adventures for students, and manager of a war museum in Siem Reap. He has spent time as a researcher and evaluator for a range of organisations, lectured at Angkor University, and volunteers as a mentor on local social-impact projects. He lives in Siem Reap and likes good coffee, conversation, and riding his bike through rural Cambodia.
Team Leader & Tour Leader
Mony is from Battambang province, near the Thai border. He guided cycling tours there for eight years and founded Soksabike Tour. He has worked on sustainable development projects from community to national level, and recently earned his government temple-guide licence. He also co-leads educational adventures for students with Ayana Journeys and The Jump Foundation, and loves talking about local culture and religious philosophy.
Tour & Project Leader
Chann spent more than ten years in hotel management before becoming a licensed temple guide in Siem Reap. He has led all kinds of groups around the temples, local sites and the rest of Cambodia. He is passionate about the origins of the land, its culture, daily life and nature — and about mentoring young tourism graduates into long-term sustainable work.
Killing Fields Historical Guide
Soun is a former teenage Khmer Rouge rebel, a soldier with the Cambodian army, a prisoner of war and a landmine amputee. As a soldier and survivor he came to understand why reconciliation and peace matter more than we know. He has guided at memorial war museums outside Angkor for over ten years and is open and glad to share his own story alongside the history of the Pol Pot regime.
Killing Fields Historical Guide
Thom is a landmine amputee. He was not a soldier, but he witnessed the war and suffered both the landmine and the starvation of the civil war. He met Soun as a teenager, and Soun taught him English and the history of the conflict. From a disabled boy facing discrimination he became an English teacher and a killing fields historical guide. Before COVID-19 he was a camp manager in Kompong Thom and Preah Vihear for Camp International.
Temple Guide
Horn is from Siem Reap and has guided professionally since 2018, after working his way from receptionist to supervisor in hotels. He also taught high-school maths at a private school. He co-leads educational adventures for students and guides at the temples. He loves talking about Cambodian culture, local life and education, and photographs the temples and landscape in his free time.
Temple Guide
Lee is an established English-speaking guide, licensed in the 24th generation since 2017, with a bachelor's degree in tourism management. He worked at a five-star hotel before graduating. A true local, he is passionate about his culture and the history of his communities, and works as a facilitator on educational school trips as well as a guide. His aim is to move his communities towards sustainable tourism.
Temple Guide
Sann is from Siem Reap and brings management-level experience in tourism. He was operations manager at Trunk Travel and The Bamboo Project, designing products and leading groups of holidaymakers and school programmes around Cambodia. He has guided professionally since 2018 and is passionate about social and sustainable development, and about volunteering. In his free time he rides his motorbike into the jungle.
